Convention Co-Chairs:
Frank Witsil is the National Board Representative for the Michigan Chapter, and a copy editor for the Detroit Free Press. He has been an officer of the chapter since its inception. He has also served as the chapter's Treasurer and Vice President for Print. In 2005, he was Co-Chair of the chapter's endowment event, one of four events held nationally. Prior to joining the Michigan Chapter, he was a member of the Florida Chapter. He got his start in journalism through the support of the Poynter Institute and lives with his family in Pleasant Ridge, a Detroit suburb. He can be reached at 248-404-8237.
Ankur Dholakia has been a member of the Michigan Chapter since 2002, and is a photojournalist for The Detroit News. In addition to photographs, he also produces online video. A Detroit resident, he has taught Society of Professional Journalism seminars on how to prepare for a digital age. He is also a member fo the National Press Photographers Association, former public affairs specialist in the Alaska and Michigan Army National Guard and a Chips Quinn scholar.
