Detroit has several hotels that can handle a convention of our size. Here is the one we selected:
Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center. 400 Renaissance Center, Detroit, 48243. (313) 568-8000. This hotel is in GM's world headquarters. It has 1,300 rooms and 100,000 square feet of space and is on the riverfront. Take a ride on a tour boat, or stroll along the banks. The Renaissance Center is filled with shops, restaurants, a theater -- even an indoor display of new cars. It is also on the People Mover loop. Hop on and ride to CoPa for a ballgame, or one of the casinos to play a few hands of cards.
